Longboat CEO steps down, new leader appointed

Helge Hammer has elected to focus his time exclusively on his role as chairman of Longboat JAPEX.

STAVANGER, Norway Helge Hammer has stepped down as Longboat Energy CEO and from the board of the company. He has elected to focus his time exclusively on his role as chairman of Longboat JAPEX Norge AS, a joint venture between Longboat Energy and Japan Petroleum Exploration Co. Ltd. (JAPEX). 

Hammer held the CEO position since August 2019. Prior to this role, he served as COO with Faroe Petroleum for nearly 14 years. 

Nick Ingrassia, Longboat Energy's corporate development director since 2020, has been promoted to CEO.
