Prosafe welcomes new CEO

STAVANGER — Prosafe has welcomed Terje Askvig as CEO, the company announced on its LinkedIn Nov. 1.

He has experience from shipping, oil service and private equity sectors and has held positions with Eitzen Chemical, Fred Olsen & Co., and Triton Partners. 

Askvig currently serves on several boards:

• Senior adviser, Triton Partners;
• Board member, DeepOcean;
• Nomination Committee, chair, Höegh Autoliners;
• Chairman of the board, Thome Group; and
• Board member, Avarn Security Group Holding AS.

The news of Askvig's Prosafe appointment was first announced in July, with Reese McNeel acting as interim CEO until Nov. 1.
