Jesper Kragh Andresen will continue in his current role until his successor is in place, and the board has initiated a process to identify the next CEO.
STAVANGER, Norway — After more than six years as Prosafe's CEO, Jesper Kragh Andresen has informed the board of directors that he plans to step down.
He has been CEO since March 2017 and will continue in his current role until his successor is in place. The board has initiated a process to identify the next CEO.
Chairman Glen O. Rødland said, "[Andresen] managed the company safely through the downturn in the energy industry and subsequently a financial restructuring of Prosafe. The company is now moving into a new phase and is well positioned for an expected upturn in the market from 2024 and onwards."
Prior to joining Prosafe, Andresen has held various positions including CEO of Axis Offshore, president of Lauritzen Offshore (Singapore) Pte. and managing director of J. Lauritzen Singapore.
The board has engaged Russell Reynolds Associates in Oslo as an adviser in the recruitment process.
Prosafe is an owner and operator of semisubmersible accommodation vessels.
