ABERDEEN, UK – Hydrasun’s North East of England branch has supported Subsea Innovation on a program to develop clamping technology to seal subsea pipelines in Perth, Australia.
Should pipeline failure or damage occur, the clamps can be deployed to seal the pipe and prevent ingress of corroding seawater.
The clamping system is said to be flexible as it can be fitted to multiple pipe diameters.
Subsea Innovation is responsible for the design of the clamps, while Hydrasun focused on their hydraulic aspects, providing installation services, flushing and pressure testing.
