Testing, inspection and certification services specialist Velosi has gained a series of contract awards for major offshore projects in the Middle East, Europe, and Russia.

ABU DHABI, UAE -- Testing, inspection and certification services specialist Velosi has gained a series of contract awards for major offshore projects in the Middle East, Europe, and Russia.
During the first half of 2010, the company was engaged in a three-year inspection services program for Saudi Aramco, awarded in 2008. It also won a new a three-year quality management services contract for Aramco’s offshore/onshore Manifa Industrial Support Facilities and Pipelines project, which started in June.
Qatar Petroleum extended Velosi’s worldwide inspection, engineering, expediting, and certification contract by a further three years, starting in August following a new tender process. This is the company’s fourth contract extension from QP. The estimated value is $4.8 million.
Offshore northwest Europe, Total E&P UK awarded Velosi a three-year inspection and expediting services contract for its Laggan Tormore project, northwest of the Shetland Islands. This program started in June.
Finally, ExxonNeftegaz awarded the company a five-year corrosion monitoring and maintenance contract for the Sakhalin project, with work again getting under way in June.
