(Stavanger) Leirvik Module Technology is to supply a new module for Statoil's Snorre A platform, comprising a control room, cabins and galley. Pre-fabrication of the NOK 125 m structure should start in June, followed by installation by a heavy lift vessel in mid-2007.

Statoil claims the new control room should improve safety on this North Sea semisubmersible Snorre A suffered a blow-out in 2004. It should also open the way to more integrated field operations with a land-based complex.
