New Offshore, Inc. has completed prototype testing of the company's first portable building to be fabricated to the stringent requirements of DNV 2.7-1 Certification Rules for Offshore Service Containers.

DNV 2.7-1 certified containers include ROV control vans, portable workshops, mud logging units, logging tool racks and skids for portable offshore equipment. There are few North American manufacturers who have met the requirements for designing and manufacturing to the relevant DNV standards.

New Offshore, Inc. has installed a 100-ton test bed for load testing of buildings, equipment skids, spreader bars, and other lifting devices. The company will also be used to test customers' existing equipment, DNV and other classification societies.

New Offshore, Inc. has appointed John Flores to head up its new DNV 2.7-1 program. Flores brings with him over seven years of DNV 2.7-1 experience.
