Sioux’s line of all-electric pressure washers also fits applications at refineries and petrochemical processing facilities. These cleaners are ideal for general plant maintenance as well as cleaning oil, grease, and grime.

For more than 30 years, Sioux has provided high-pressure cleaners to the offshore petroleum and marine transportation industries. The equipment can be used to clean oil-based drilling and completion fluids, paraffin, grease, sludge, and grime, as well as for general maintenance.

Sioux all-electric models heat the cleaning water with electricity, rather than with oil- or gas-fired burners. Since they require no fossil fuels, they produce no flame or exhaust. Heaters are fully rated to the stated water flow, so storage tanks are not required, and water temperature is available instantly and for unlimited time. Explosion-proof models are designed for use in hazardous locations, both indoors and outdoors, and are ideal for areas where air quality is a concern.

All models meet strict specs

Sioux offers more than 45 standard models of all-electric steam cleaners, pressure washers, and combination units with ratings of 0.6 - 0.8 gal/min. and 100 - 3,000 psi. Safety is a priority at Sioux. OSHA regulations require that electrical equipment be third-party certified by a nationally recognized testing organization such as Electrical Testing Laboratory. All Sioux equipment is third-party certified to UL-1776 and CSA C-22.2 No. 68-92. Additionally, explosion-proof models are certified to UL-1203 and CSA 22.2 No. 30-92, and built to Class I (Group D).

Because Sioux exports to more than 70 countries, alternative electricals, such as 50-Hz units, are available, as is an array of options to meet application-specific needs. Sioux has an engineering staff with experience in providing drawings and submittal packages when required for application-specific projects.

Sioux also manufactures fuel-fired cleaning equipment with oil, LP, or natural gas firings. Starting with a conventional steam cleaner, the design can be modified to create a unit specifically for the customer’s needs. The units can be mounted on skids, as stationary units, or on wheels for portability. Other options include water tanks, gasoline or diesel generators and engines, special hoses or spray guns, and other custom options or accessories.

No ‘assembly line’ manufacturing process

Since 1939, Sioux has been building application-specific. After the manufacturing stage, craftsmen assemble each machine. Nothing rolls down an assembly line. Each workstation at Sioux is flexible so engineers can design custom units for all kinds of cleaning applications.

Sioux equipment uses heavy-duty components and rugged construction for durability, and effectiveness in the most severe and demanding applications. This makes Sioux an intelligent alternative for even the most challenging of cleaning problems.
