STAVANGER, Norway – Ace Oil Tools has introduced ARC-Force, a downhole device based on its Ace Ratchet Collar.
The updated two-piece collar employs a proprietary ratchet mechanism, press fitting the two sets of ratchets together to permanently lock the collar to the casing.
It delivers a holding force of 50,000 lb, with no loose or moving parts, and therefore no impact on drift.
ACE’s established ARC-slim, 90,000 lb+ rated stop collar was designed for close tolerance applications, while ARC-Force is suited to non-close tolerance operations.
According to ACE, the 6.5-mm size allows it to fit into most applications worldwide. It is manufactured from 4140 steel or chrome materials.
