ASKØY, Norway – Framo has introduced a customizable oil skimmer service based on its proven TransRec system, which has served oil spill response operations worldwide.
The new solution allows customers to specify a range of options to tailor their skimmer systems to fit their operational requirements. TransRec includes a portable electric remote-control panel that according to Framo allows operators to be positioned for the best view of the operation.
They also can add control and sensor packages designed to optimize oil recovery and prolong the operational windows of equipment in harsh conditions.
TransRec is designed to handle any oil spill, arising during oil production or following a vessel-related incident. It is proven to function both in the open sea and as an emergency offloading system.
