Trident Energy has completed two E&P transactions offshore Congo.

The company has acquired the entire share capital of Chevron Overseas (Congo) and an additional interest in the Nkossa and Nsoko II fields from TotalEnergies.

Trident now becomes operator of these fields with an 85% interest and has also assumed a 15.75% share in the Lianzi field. In addition, the company has taken a 21.5% stake in the Moho–Bilondo field, again operated by TotalEnergies.

The acquisition should boost Trident’s global production by about 30,000 bbl/d. The company is a specialist in field life extension and production from mid-life assets, with established operations offshore Brazil and Equatorial Guinea.
