Hibiscus Petroleum has integrated its two E&P business divisions offshore Malaysia.

KUALA LUMPUR, MalaysiaHibiscus Petroleum has integrated its two E&P business divisions offshore Malaysia.

Previously, SEA Hibiscus operated the North Sabah assets acquired from Shell 2018, while Hibiscus Oil & Gas Malaysia operated assets acquired from Repsol Exploración in 2022.

The newly name organization, Hibiscus Malaysia, will pursue operational synergies and cost optimization across the group’s interests in Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Vietnam.

The company also revealed in its latest results update that it had recently received three awards from Petronas for achieving the lowest drilling cost per foot for a development well in Malaysia; delivering the country’s longest well; and for Malaysia’s first autonomous inflow control valve installation.
