LARNACA, Cyprus – Westcon Yards has appealed against a decision last month by Stavanger City Court in Norway.
This found in favor ofProsafe concerning a dispute on Westcon’s conversion of the Safe Scandinavia accommodation rig into a tender support vessel.
The Court decided Westcon must pay Prosafe NOK344 million ($44 million) plus interest and NOK10.6 million ($1.36 million) in legal costs.
Prosafe said it would continue to defend its case in order to maintain or improve on the result in the first instance.
