ABERDEEN, UK – Neptune Energy has awarded TWMA a three-year contract to provide skip and ship and solids control to manage and process drill cuttings from fields in the North Sea.

The service will also include provision of cuttings containment, pit and tank cleaning and offshore processing using TWMA’s TCC RotoMill technology.

This is said to allow drilling waste to be processed safely on site offshore, reducing the logistics costs associated with skip and ship. It also allows high ROP drilling rates in harshest offshore environments and cuts lifting operations by up to 95%, TWMA added.

The company will deploy transfer and containment solutions to transport drilling waste generated at source to its onshore thermal processing facility in Peterhead, eastern Scotland.

One of the fields served will be Cygnus in the UK southern gas basin.
