LONDON – Rig move, offshore transport/installation specialist Aqualis Offshore is expanding into drilling rig inspections.

The company’s dedicated team will employ multi-disciplined engineers with decades of rig inspection experience to provide regulatory compliance and equipment operability assurance, both to rig owners and operators.

The company will provide a range of inspection services from development through execution of tailored rig inspection and acceptance programs for drillships, semisubmersibles, and jackup rigs of all generations.

In addition, the team will provide more focussed and tailored inspections to meet clients’ needs, taking in well control, dynamic positioning or integrated control management system reviews.

CEO David Wells said: “We also aim to be able to support offshore drilling rig reactivation activities and rig selection consultancy. Conversely, if required, we can provide rig preservation assessments.”

In addition, the team will assist with pre-rig selection assessment.
