KD Marine has agreed with Mermaid Offshore Services (MOS) to provide fully integrated saturation, air diving, daughter craft, and ROV services from the DSV Mermaid Endurer to the European market.

ABERDEEN, UK -- KD Marine has agreed with Mermaid Offshore Services (MOS) to provide fully integrated saturation, air diving, daughter craft, and ROV services from the DSV Mermaid Endurer to the European market. KD Marine is lead contractor in the new alliance, providing diving and project management services while MOS will provide DSV, marine, and ROV services.
The Mermaid Endurer is a 95-m (312-ft) dynamically positioned DSV currently under construction at the Bergen Group BMV shipyard in Bergen, Norway. It features an integrated 300-m (984-ft) saturation diving system, integrated air dive and ROV systems, 100-metric ton (110-ton) crane, and 1,000 sq m (10,764 sq ft) work deck space.
The vessel is scheduled for delivery to MOS in the first half of the year. Once delivered, KD Marine will install its purpose built daughter craft and launching system on the vessel. The system has been designed by KD Marine to enable simultaneous air diving and/or inspection ROV support activities while similar operations are also being carried out from the principal support vessel.
