Vetco signs topsides contract for Ettrick FPSO

Vetco Aibel has signed a contract valued at $84 million with Bluewater Energy Services for the design and building of topsides process and facilities modules for the Ettrick FPSO that will operate in the UK sector of the North Sea.

(Oslo)-Vetco Aibel has signed a contract valued at $84 million with Bluewater Energy Services for the design and building of topsides process and facilities modules for theEttrick FPSO that will operate in the UK sector of the North Sea.

Vetco Aibel, a subsidiary of Vetco International, says that the topsides facilities contract confirms its position as a leading supplier to the global ship-owner market.

R. Rasmus Sunde, president and CEO of Vetco Aibel, said of the contract: "We are pleased that Bluewater has awarded us this contract. We have established a good track record of supplying topsides facilities to the ship-owner market in most of the petroleum regions on the globe."

The project team, located in Vetco Aibel's office in Oslo, has been working under a Letter of Intent since February of this year.

Delivery time for the topsides modules to the conversion yard in Singapore is scheduled for 16-17 months from the contract award date. First oil is slated to be produced in the 1Q 2008.
