BP contracts Technip for Tambar

Technip has contracted to manage the installation program for the new phase of BP Norge's Tambar development.

(North Sea) - BP Norge has contracted Technip to install its Tambar Phase 2 production pipeline in the North Sea.

Technip's work scope includes engineering, fabrication, installation of the flowline, tie-ins of both ends to the Tambar and Ula platforms, and subsea equipment protection.

Project management and engineering will be managed from the company's center in Oslo, with the flowline fabricated at its welding base in Orkanger.

All offshore work will be conducted in spring 2007, using theApache, Wellservicer, and Norman Pioneer vessels.

Tie-ins will be performed using the company's FlexConnect system.
