StormGeo strengthens stake in Brazil weather service provider

Weather intelligence provider StormGeo, part-owned by Alfa Laval, has increased its stake in Climatempo, a meteorological services provider in Brazil, from 51% to 89.66%.

BERGEN, Norway  Weather intelligence provider StormGeo, part-owned by Alfa Laval, has increased its stake in Climatempo, a meteorological services provider in Brazil, from 51% to 89.66%.

The company aims to provide more comprehensive and advanced weather intelligence solutions to companies across South America.

StormGeo provides weather forecasting and risk management services, while Climatempo offers local weather knowledge and client relations.

Following the ownership change, current COO Patricia Madeira will become CEO of Climatempo Group on May 1.
