HAMILTON, Bermuda —Archer Ltd. has completed its acquisition of Romar-Abrado, a provider of milling and SWARF handling services for plugging and abandonment (P&A) operations globally.
These are said to ensure permanent, verifiable and emission-free well barriers with predictable alternative zonal isolation P&A solutions.
Romar-Abrado employs 50 staff.
Nicholas Pantin, vice president of Archer Oiltools, said his company had developed a heavy intervention service over the past few years with wide-ranging applications in slot recovery and well P&A. He said, “Our services have been developed around steel retrieval and steel recovery as well as establishing barriers through plugs and annular remediation. Technologies around steel removal through milling and section milling will allow Archer to offer end-to-end solutions.”
