Ashtead acquires offshore rental/service specialist Hiretech

Subsea equipment rental and services provider Ashtead Technology acquired Hiretech, a management owned equipment rental, service and maintenance company serving the offshore, decommissioning and renewable energy sectors.

Among other subsea equipment and services, Ashtead provides specialist survey and positioning equipment to support international pipeline and cable surveys.

ABERDEEN, UK — Subsea equipment rental and services provider Ashtead Technology acquired Hiretech, a management owned equipment rental, service and maintenance company serving the offshore, decommissioning and renewable energy sectors.

Hiretech, which owns a range of marine and subsea equipment rental assets, becomes Ashtead’s seventh company acquisition over the past five years; it previously acquired WeSubsea in September.
