OSLO, Norway  TGS has acquired Prediktor, a specialist in asset management/real-time data management services for owners of renewable and energy facilities.

Prediktor, formed in 1995 and based in Frederikstad, Norway, has supplied software and systems in use, among others, on the Dogger Bank offshore wind farm under construction in the U.K. North Sea and the Johan Sverdrup oil field complex in the Norwegian North Sea.

According to TGS, its asset management solutions help companies manage operational risks and optimize performance through monitoring projects, forecasting energy production, recommending actions and automating decision-making.

Prediktor also provides data management applications to organize Industrial Internet of Things sensor data, helping clients capture, validate, store and contextualize real-time data.

In February 2021, TGS launched its New Energy Solutions initiative, which provides data and insights for industries looking to reducing emissions, and it has since started data-driven services for offshore wind and carbon storage, acquiring offshore wind market intelligence provider 4C Offshore.

Earlier this week, TGS announced its intent to acquire Magseis Fairfield
