ABERDEEN, UK – Shell has awarded Draeger a three-year renewal of an enterprise framework agreement.

This covers the supply of portable gas detection equipment and other safety technology for all of Shell’s offshore and onshore facilities and installations worldwide.

Draeger’s Marine and Offshore division, based in Aberdeen, leads the company’s relationship with Shell in the UK.

For the first time, the agreement includes rental as well as purchase options, following the launch of the new UK equipment rental division Draeger Hire in Aberdeen in February.

Various new products from the company will be tested and trialled by Shell prior to a launch on the wider market.

Dr Carsten Reh, director Global Key Account Management, Draeger Safety, said: “Together with [Shell], we learn about market changes and new needs and can incorporate our findings directly into our future product developments and service offerings.”
