The contract, running for three years from Jan. 1, 2022 (plus options) covers crew change services via one Sikorsky S-92 helicopter for VÃ¥r-operated fields in the Balder area of the Norwegian North Sea.
It is part of the company’s co-operation agreement with Equinor on sharing capacity of one helicopter. The two parties have a similar arrangement in the Barents Sea.
The partnership also allows for better long-term planning by CHC, said Rune Meinich-Bache, aviation advisor at VÃ¥r.
VÃ¥r is currently working to extend the lifespan of the Balder field until 2045.
