MARSEILLE, France – Bourbon Mobility is working on a new approach to personnel logistics for Total’s Zinia 2 subsea project in block 17 offshore Angola.

Under a collaborative program with Sonasurf (Bourbon’s joint venture in Angola) and Subsea 7, the company is managing all passenger logistics by air (from Paris), onshore (in Luanda) and then offshore, as part of a global service named ‘Airport-to-rig.’

This also covers management of COVID-19 quarantine periods and medical inspections in Angola.

Bourbon Mobility claims the collaborative solution, which will manage more than 1,000 journeys over the duration of the project, represents a way forward for passenger transport to the offshore oil and gas sector by moving from a traditional charter contract to an integrated service offering.
