OSLO, Norway – PGS has offered to sell the seismic acquisition vessel Ramform Sterling to the Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corp. (JOGMEC), an administrative agency of Japan’s Ministry of Economy Trade and Industry.
The sale excludes the seismic streamer package. Subject to final agreements, JOGMEC should take delivery of the vessel next April.
Assuming the transaction goes through, PGS will reintroduce theRamform Vanguard to its fleet next summer, and estimates the associated capex, mainly related to in-sea equipment, at $25 million maximum.
