Active period for Fugro geoscience teams

LEIDSCHENDAM, the NetherlandsFugro’s Geoscience division reported increased activity in ocean bottom node (OBN) business, the company said in its latest results statement.

Two node crews have been active since the beginning of the year. One crew finalized the Lula project for Petrobras in the Santos basin off Brazil before heading east to execute a 4D monitoring project for Shell off Nigeria.

The other crew worked on a BHP program offshore Trinidad.

Fugro expects to start a 4D survey in deepwater in the Gulf of Mexico during the current quarter, while a shallow water crew should begin a Middle East project during 4Q.

Following a client-impose delay, the Manta node crew should start an OBN survey for on the Buzios field in the Santos basin during October.

Another Fugro team has performed a geophysical and geotechnical site survey forEni’s Merakes field development in the East Sepinggan block, offshore East Kalimantan, Indonesia.
