Offshore staff
TOKYO – JX Nippon Oil & Gas Exploration has started gas production from the Layang field in block SK10 offshore Sarawak.
Layang is 7 km (4.3 mi) east of the producing Helang gas field in the same block. Production from both fields will be sent through subsea pipelines to the MLNG Tiga liquefaction plant in Bintulu, Sarawak, part-owned by JXTG Nippon Oil & Energy.
Initially Layang is producing around 12,000 boe/d of natural gas and condensate.
