STAVANGER, NorwayENGIE E&P Norge has awarded Rosenberg WorleyParsons a front-end engineering and design study for modifications at the Gjøa platform in the North Sea.

TheWintershall-led partners in nearby license recently agreed to tieback the Skarfjell field to the Gjøa platform via subsea facilities.

Rosenberg WorleyParsons’s contract includes an option for the execution phase of the project – engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning.

ENGIE E&P’s strategy is to make Gjøa a hub for future fields in the area, thereby extending the lifespan of the semisubmersible production platform.

Gjøa is 60 km (37 mi) west of Florø.
