SINGAPORE — Yinson Production has held a naming ceremony for the FPSO Atlanta at Drydocks World in Dubai.

The vessel, which will operate for Enauta at the Atlanta Field in the Santos Basin offshore Brazil, has an oil production capacity of 50,000 bbl/d and can store up to 1.25 MMbbl.

Features include a carbon management process plant that uses fuel gas for cargo tank inertization, and reduced flare gas emissions through a closed flare system.

In December 2021, Yinson entered a letter of intent with Enauta and later signed firm contracts for the engineering, procurement, construction and installation, and an initial two-year operation and maintenance period.

More recently, Yinson also exercised an option in July to purchase FPSO Atlanta for 15 years (plus a five-year extension option) and to provide operation and maintenance under a contract valued at up to $1.981 million.

The vessel should depart Dubai in first-quarter 2024 and start production during the second quarter.

In addition, Akselos, Yinson Production and Enauta signed a multi-year contract in September to deploy Akselos' digital twin technology on the ABS-classed Atlanta FPSO.

Another Yinson Production FPSO under construction in China should sail to the Petrobras-operated Jubarte Field in the first half of next year.
