JAKARTA, Indonesia — Petronas subsidiary PC Ketapang II has gained a 20-year extension to its production sharing contract (PSC) for the Ketapang working area in the Java Sea.
Indonesia’s Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources authorized the extension in late December. The concession produced first oil in 2015.
Petronas also operates the North Madura II and North Ketapang PSCs offshore East Java, and it is a partner in seven others offshore and onshore Sumatra and in the Natuna Sea, East Java and East Indonesia.
