LLOG awards InterMoor fabrication contract for Salamanca FPS piles

Acteon's InterMoor has secured a contract to fabricate 12 mooring piles to support oil firm LLOG in the permanent mooring of the Salamanca Floating Production System (FPS) in the US Gulf of Mexico.

NORFOLK, UK  InterMoor, an Acteon brand, was recently awarded a contract to fabricate 12 mooring piles to support project manager LLOG in the permanent mooring of the Salamanca Floating Production System (FPS) offshore the Gulf of Mexico (GoM).

LLOG previously awarded the design of the 80-ft long and 16-ft OD piles, weighing more than 150 tons each, to InterMoor in fourth-quarter 2022. 

InterMoor said the fabrication project adds to its extensive track record, which includes the fabrication of the largest foundation pile in the GoM.

The 12 mooring piles will be fabricated at InterMoor’s Morgan City, La., ISO 9001: 2022, ISO 14001 and IS0 40001 certified facility.
