LIMASSOL, Cyprus – Songa Offshore says modifications to the semisubmersible Songa Trym are now completed after some delay. The rig is on a standby rate while client Statoil performs an upgrade to the mud system.

Thereafter, the rig will enter into its three-plus-two year contract for Statoil offshore Norway under direct Songa Offshore management.

All Songa rigs are now operational, three on long-term contracts for Statoil.
