TOKYO – MODEC, Mitsui and Marubeni have committed to invest in a long-term charter business to provide an FPSO for Petrobras’ Tartaruga Verde and Tartaruga Mestiça oil fields offshore southeast Brazil.
In February, MV29 B.V., a Dutch company established by MODEC, entered an agreement with Petrobras for a 20-year charter of the vessel, to be named FPSOCidade de Campos dos Goytacazes MV29.
During 4Q 2017, it will be moored in 765 m (2,510 ft) of water in the C-M-401 block concession, receiving production from the two fields, 125 km (78 mi) from Macaé.
