The deliveries will comprise a 100-metric-ton active heave-compensated crane, a 20-t offshore crane and a 3-t deck crane to the Prysmian-owned NB970 cable-layer vessel. MacGregor will also provide technical support via its OnWatch service.
The 191-m-long, 19,000-mt vessel will be capable of simultaneous lay and burial using heavy-duty ploughs, with DP3 positioning and seakeeping systems.
Initial construction will take place at Vard Shipyards Romania – Tulcea, followed by completion in Norway and handover to the owner by early 2027.
