HELSINKI, Finland — Wärtsilä will supply a re-liquefaction system for retrofit to the Energos Grand LNG carrier.
Connecticut-based Energos Infrastructure has charted the vessel, which is being converted to operate as a floating storage unit (FSU), from New Fortress Energy.
Wärtsilä’s system will allow the boil-off-gas from the LNG to be re-liquefied and returned to the cargo tanks instead of being wasted, helping to save emissions, costs and optimizing the LNG cargo level, the company said.
It expects to deliver the package during the second half of 2024.
