Velesto rig to drill three wells offshore Malaysia

Roc Oil (Sarawak) has sent a letter of award to Velesto Drilling for drilling services.

ROC has a 30% participating interest in the D35/D21/J4 PSC, offshore Sarawak. PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd is the operator and has appointed ROC as the project development manager, responsible for subsurface management, well engineering, new facilities projects and redevelopment project execution.

NAGA 2 jackup
KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia— Roc Oil (Sarawak) has sent a letter of award to Velesto Drilling for drilling services.
Velesto is allocating the NAGA 2 jackup to drill three wells under the $14 million contract.
The contract is to drill three firm wells with an estimated commencement date between Jan. 25, 2023, to Feb. 25, 2023.
NAGA 2 is an independent-leg cantilever jackup designed to drill down to 30,000 ft in waters up to 350 ft deep.
