VANCOUVER, Canada  A rig contracted to drill infill wells on the deepwater Egina oil field offshore Nigeria should start operations next month, according to Africa Oil.

The company has an indirect interest via its part-owned subsidiary Prime.

Offshore Namibia, TotalEnergies should begin appraisal drilling on last year’s Venus discovery in the Orange Basin by the end of March, Africa Oil added. Here, the company has an indirect stake via its interest in partner Impact.

Finally, the farm-out process for offshore Block 3B/4B, on trend with Venus and Shell’s Graff oil discovery, continues with the company hoping to secure a new partner by the end of the first quarter.
