Well-Safe seeks to boost decommissioning rig fleet

Well decommissioning services specialist Well-Safe Solutions has raised a further £50 million in funds.

ABERDEEN, U.K.  Well decommissioning services specialist Well-Safe Solutions has raised a further £50 million in funds.

The company will use the money to purchase a third rig and support other growth plans.

Recently, Ithaca Energy contracted the Well-Safe Protector jackup to decommission wells in the U.K. southern North Sea.

Well-Safe also has closed the acquisition of the WilPhoenix semisubmersible, which it will rename Well-Safe Defender.
