STEINHAUSEN, Switzerland – Transocean Ltd. has provided an update on its offshore drilling rig fleet.
Chevron has awarded the ultra-deepwater drillship Deepwater Conqueror a one-well contract extension in the US Gulf of Mexico. The day rate is $335,000.
An undisclosed operator has awarded the ultra-deepwater drillship Deepwater Asgard a two-well contract in the US Gulf of Mexico. The contract is expected to start in April 2022. The day rate is $395,000.
BHP Billiton has awarded the ultra-deepwater drillship Deepwater Invictus a one-well contract extension in the US Gulf of Mexico. The contract is expected to run from June to September 2022. The day rate is $305,000.
EnVen Energy has awarded the ultra-deepwater drillship Discoverer Inspiration a one-well contract, plus two one-well options in the US Gulf of Mexico. The contract is expected to begin in August 2022. The day rate is $290,000.
Serica Energy has awarded the harsh environment semisubmersible Paul B Loyd, Jr. a one-well contract in the UK North Sea. It is expected to start in July at $160,000 per day.
The aggregate incremental backlog associated with these fixtures is about $87.7 million. As of Feb. 14, the company’s total backlog is approximately $6.5 billion.
Also, Transocean listed the ultra-deepwater drillship Dhirubhai Deepwater KG2 and the ultra-deepwater semisub Development Driller III as idle.
