OSLO, Norway Edda Wind has ordered two more commissioning service operation vessels (CSOV) from Astilleros Gondan in Spain.

Deliveries are planned for 2023 and 2024.

The 89.3-m (293-ft) long vessels will function as mother ships for technicians as they perform commissioning and maintenance work on the wind turbines.

Last year, the company ordered two CSOVs from Astilleros Gondan and two service operation vessels from Astilleros Balenciaga.

All six vessels are being prepared for installment of zero-emission technology.

Wilhelmsen and Østensjø each own 50% of Edda Wind. They have agreed to seek an initial public offering on Euronext Growth Oslo.
