PARIS – Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering has contracted GTT to design a new floating storage and regasification unit on behalf of the Japanese ship-owner Mitsui OSK Lines.
The vessel, with a capacity of 263,000 cu m (9.29 MMcf), will be stationed off the port of Wilhelmshaven, northern Germany, and is due to be delivered in 2023.
It will feature a NO96 membrane cryogenic containment system, a technology developed by GTT.
