The total number of jackups, semis, and drillships under contract grew by four rigs from 469 units in November to 473 by the end of December. Meanwhile, the global fleet has grown by two units to a total supply of 760 rigs. In the end, utilization gained a small bit of ground, going from 61.9% in November to 62.3% in December. At the same time, the number of rigs working has also improved somewhat, climbing by four units from 444 in November to 448 in December.
