OSLO, NorwayPGS has agreed to work with Cognite on vessel operating costs and efficiency improvements.

The two companies have initiated two digitalization work streams aiming at improving fleet performance; these involve optimizing fuel consumption and reducing maintenance costs by actively monitoring equipment via contextualized data.

“The use of data to drive decision making and reduce costs will be important for us to leverage our fleet productivity and technology,” said Rob Adams, PGS’ executive vice president Operations.

Both projects will use Cognite Data Fusion software to extract data from different source systems, allowing different types of data associated with one piece of equipment to be easily accessed within a single interface.
