BERGEN, Norway -- Statoil has awarded Deep Sea Mooring a three-year frame agreement to provide mooring services to its rigs in the Norwegian sector.
There is also an option for two one-year extensions. Deep Sea Mooring, part of the Odfjell Well Services Group, estimates the value of the contract at NOK 300-500 million ($49-82 million) over the three first years.
The company, established in 2008, operates from two bases in Norway at Mongstad outside Bergen and Vestbase outside Kristiansund.
