Statoil will get $75 million in subsea production equipment for the Katla development from FMC Technologies Inc. under an agreement recently announced.

HOUSTON – Statoil will get $75 million in subsea production equipment for the Katla development from FMC Technologies Inc. under an agreement recently announced. The hardware will use standardized systems meant for fasttrack projects, says FMC.

FMC will manufacture three subsea trees, one manifold, and associated subsea and topside control systems. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2Q 2011.

Katla is a fasttrack offshore oil and gas field in water depths of approximately 310 ft (95 m) in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea.
