CATAUMET, Massachusetts –Chevron Makassar Ltd. is using Falmouth Scientific Inc. services to monitor drilling induced vibration on deepwater top-tension risers during extended-reach drilling offshore Indonesia.
FSI’s USS-110 accelerometer/inclinometer-based systems are placed on the risers by reusable ROV-deployed clamps manufactured for the application.
Data is transmitted acoustically and monitored in near real-time to identify over stress conditions.
