HOUSTON – Oceaneering International Inc. is expanding its presence for autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) survey services to the West African region.

The company currently serves theUS Gulf of Mexico with a fleet of commercial AUVs, designed for high-resolution survey operations in water depths reaching 4,500 m (14,763 ft).

It is mobilizing one of its 3,000-m (9,842-ft)-rated AUVs, which is capable of performing deepwater geophysical hazard and pipeline inspection surveys. This unit provides clients with the necessary deepwater survey capabilities for pipeline surveys, as-built surveys, block surveys, and pipeline inspections,Oceaneering said.
