ABERDEEN, UK — Sentinel Subsea has installed a WellSentinel Clam system to monitor a subsea christmas tree for an unnamed major operator.
The operation, performed with Baker Hughes, was on a producing field in a water depth of more than 400 m (1,300 ft) and marks a significant advancement in subsea technology.
According to the company, WellSentinel systems provide steady and continuous monitoring without the use of active subsea power, data communication or the need for complex interventions.
Features include early alerts to enable action to be taken quickly to address potential issues.
