McDermott booked for Wahoo-Frade subsea connections offshore Brazil

HOUSTON — PRIO (formerly known as PetroRio) has awarded McDermott a transportation and installation (T&I) contract for the Wahoo Field development in the Campos Basin offshore Brazil.

The work scope covers about 19 miles (30 km) of coated 10-inch rigid pipelines and associated subsea structures. The pipelines will connect the Wahoo wells to the Frade FPSO to the south, and there is an option in the contract for T&I of a second line.

McDermott's team in Rio de Janeiro will handle project management and engineering with one of the company’s rigid pipelay vessels performing the installations.
